At work: I am focused on developing the networks of investors and borrowers on our website. We offer a unique service focused on sourcing lending to commercial property transactions through individuals and companies who are looking for better rates of return on their funds with the support of a second charge behind the primary lender.

Why: I have listened to customers become increasing frustrated at the constructive declining of sensible commercial property deals by lenders through restrictive financial covenants. This has been the driving force in creating Strata with the objective of offering mezzanine funding to fill the gap between the amount the lender is willing to commit to and the borrowers actual requirement.

The Company: Strata is a specialist mezzanine finance brokerage specifically aimed at commercial property transactions. We have access to individuals and companies who have funds available to invest in well thought through property proposals.

Strata is in reality a marketplace allowing borrowers with sensible deals to present their case to a database of investors who are interested in earning improved rates of return on their surplus cash balances. The loans are funding the shortfall, typically 10%, with the security of a second charge and a timeframe of 1-2 years.

After work: Revolves around my family – acting as Dad Taxi to my two daughters. I enjoy watching most sports and am an ardent armchair Forest Fan.
