At work: We have an investment fund available financed by private individuals for Private Equity Investment in SME’s for which we will consider either expansion strategies or re-financing of businesses to facilitate medium/long term growth prospects. In particular we seek to make appropriate investments in businesses suffering short term liquidity or cash flow issues either as a result of growth and/or distress but which represent a 3 – 5 year opportunity to significantly enhance shareholder value

An experienced Managing Director I am now an Independent Consultant/Interim Manager – experienced in both business/profit growth environments and turnarounds. During my career I have also started my own business, sought and won venture capital funding, and have personal experience of TUPE, various forms of bank financing, and managed cash flow problems.

Why: My experience spans 20 years across a variety of business types including manufacturing, transport and logistics, professional sport, property and estate agency, and even a school. I am very much a ‘hands-on’ operator who can both formulate business strategies and implement at the ‘coal face’. Experienced within large corporate PLC, Small and Medium private/family owned, memberships, and start-ups. In addition to considerable turnaround experience, I can also add value across a spectrum of business functions to include – Sales and Marketing, Design and Development, Manufacturing, Operations, Financial Management and Budgeting, and HR.

The Company: Turning Point UK Ltd is a Consultancy/Interim Management business which, in addition to management input, seeks to make appropriate investments in businesses suffering short term liquidity or cash flow issues either as a result of growth and/or distress but which represent a 3 – 5 year opportunity to significantly enhance shareholder value. Through various networks we have a huge resource of talent which can be introduced to clients in order to facilitate and provide solutions to problems and freeing management time to concentrate on core issues of running their business to further support the investment opportunity.

After work: Family and Sport (Rugby, Sailing, Golf) – in particular I run the Mini Rugby Section at Nottingham where I also coach and referee.
