Operational Services Tender

Tender applications sought for:
Operational Services Provider, based in Nottingham.
Subject to agreement of a funding contract from the East Midlands Development Agency (emda), Growth Investment (GI) requires an Operational Services Provider for the period from 1st April 2010 to 31st March 2012 to run the network of members, organise events and activities and deliver targets that are part of the emda funding agreement. The maximum contract value over 2 years is expected to be £126k, including bonuses, and this will be linked to the terms of the contract between GI and emda.
Responsibilities will include growing income from membership subscriptions and operating within agreed budgets. Also it includes: signposting enquiries to members; arranging high profile events with key speakers; running an investor readiness programme*; all marketing and PR activity; maintaining and developing the content of the web site www.ginem.co.uk ; undertaking a secretarial role for the board; assisting monitoring and reporting to emda. Regular updates and reports to the chairman are required.
Experience of working with entrepreneurs, investors and business support organisations is essential.
We will be looking at the individuals who will undertake this work to present a professional and credible image of GI and also to integrate our activities with other business support, innovation and finance initiatives in the east midlands region.
The selected contractor will be required to provide working offices, meeting facilities, equipment and any necessary support.
Contract payment will be by way of a base monthly sum with quarterly bonus for achieving targets and annual bonus related to membership income targets being exceeded.

Working closely with local professionals, private individuals who typically have sold their business, are offered an introductory workshop that includes: becoming a business angel; the legal process of completing an investment; tax regulation; case studies. Attendees are also invited to a lunch club where live investment opportunities are presented by Growth Investment members.
