The all important Exit
Private equity investment is only made sustainable by profitable exits for investors from investee companies. So we are delighted that Catapult and BioCity have achieved a highly successful exit from Nottingham based R5 Pharmaceuticals. Full story here and here. Congratulations to all involved!
This is Catapult’s second successful exit of the year following that from Atlantic Link which was one of our featured deals back in March 2009.

Connect Midlands is looking to identify companies from the East Midlands interested in presenting at the 10th Connect Midlands Investment Conference (CMIC) on 18th November 2010. These are typically companies seeking £0.5m - £5m for 2nd and 3rd round funding... Should you be considering this?

Welcome to new Entrepreneur Members Alan O’Dea and Mike Hunter!
Alan’s company Simple Lifeforms launched their first two games onto Facebook on June 12th 2010, they have already achieved 50,000 + users in their first thirty days and are growing at a rate of 1,000 new users a day. Simple Lifeforms recently launched their first iPhone game on July 9th 2010. Alan is now in the process of raising some investment. If you’re interested please contact him directly.
Better Languages, of which Mike Hunter is CEO, was shortlisted for 2 awards in the Nottingham Evening Post Business Awards 2010 earlier this month. Nottinghamshire Small Business of the Year, and Best Use of IT and Communications. Although they didn’t win, Better Languages were the only company shortlisted for two awards. Felicitaciones Mike! and Bonne chance pour la prochaine fois, me duck.
